Australian Painted Lady, Meadow Argus and the Yellow Admiral, all nymph Butterflies.  A gouache painting, framed.
Three local butterflies here in Sydney and indeed throughout most of Australia and Tassie. They are all migratory. 
These butterflies were all caught in my garden, euthanized, and set by me. I pose them in positions that I found them. I have painted them from life, not photos.
They are painted true to scale.
Painted in gouache on Arches 850gm Cold Pressed 100% cotton water paper.  Yep its thick and beautiful with a wrinkly finish.
This is an original painting not a print. 
The painting is professionally framed in Newtown.  It is mounted and glazed with non-reflective glass.  I take great care in choosing the frame so that the whole piece is sold complete and perfect.  The frame is brown toned with a strong gold relief and to set off these three nymphs beautifully.
Finished frame measures 26cmW x 31.5cmH.
